Horror Valley was founded by Sonja and Davor, fiances with a mutual passion for horror. First Horror Valley (horror-valley.com) was created back then in October 2018, and was designed as a commercial site, to sell stories. We made many short stories to sell, and facebook (and other social media accounts) to promote it. But, due to other real life obligations, the site was ,,paused”. We were engaged in professional writing stories for some clients, however, meantime.

Then, we decided to redesign Horror Valley, and bring it to shine again, in new place (horrorvalley.com since the old one had a different system for trade, and this one does not sell anything) here. Now, it is an educational nonprofit blog about horror stories. We write about meaning, origins, types of scary stories, as well as real events upon which stories are based on. And other literature and media related to them, since it all starts with some kind of story. Also, put everything we previously made for sale here, for free. People can download and view our unique scary stories, perfectly fit for campfire, Halloween or any spooky night! And not just that! We plan to add new stories, project etc…

I am Davor, graduated school teacher, currently at master studies (so, my profession is partially connected to this). As my thesis and chosen areas there were in nature protection and environment, I had exams and research projects from ecology about various stuff, mostly about tropical islands. So, I created blog about that too ( https://tropicalislands.net/ ).

However, my hobby field is the horror genre. Since I was a kid, I spend too much time in the village where my cousins live. There, they told me various local stories about ghosts, vampires and such. And graveyard was nearby, to add effect on all of it. And of course fields… with pumpkins! There, I learned how to carve pumpkins. Even now I own tool for it from that period! I used to carve it each year I visit the village. And of course, under effect and times we raised in city, horror movies were frequent. Combined with all of this, a passion is born!

Now, we are Halloween fans as well. As said above, scary stories, pumpkin carvings, a horror movie were tradition to me. So, with my friends, we gather together and do all of this for Halloween. And Halloween food, most recently from Lidl.

Sonja is still attached to this project as observer, adviser and ,,technical” supporter. She has job in IT company, and has her own blog since 2017 ( https://upbeatimpulse.com/ ). Regarding this, she still finds time to be my advisor and helper in both blogs.
