Long ago in the village of Vrgudinac, in the old days, when people celebrated, there were 40 guests in three shifts. In the evening, the water ran out, and the grandfather of the host went to pour water in buckets (since people didn’t have taps then, but went to the center of the village at the main fountain to pour water). He walked in the dark, got there, poured water, and a girl approached him. She asked him what he was doing there, and he replied that they are celebrating, the water ran out, so he came to pour it. She offered to help him, took the bucket, and he brought the other. They walked together and passed the church. Grandfather crossed himself there next to the church, when suddenly, a bucket fell, water spilled, and the girl disappeared. She is nowhere to be found at the moment. It was a ghost. And that grandfather quickly returned home, terrified and never dare to go out in the evening again.
